Crunch Time has arrived! If you’re still casting about for gift-projects, you might want to check out the new CraftStylish magazine, Vol. 2 of Quick Stuff to Sew.

Lots of pretties here that won’t need much time or cash to put together, like these cute bags by Leeny Malonebeach. They use 18″ squares of upholstery fabric, which you can often find as scrap or remnants.

Kayte Terry has this great basic tote, with several cute ways to embellish it up. (Since she is the embellishing queen.) I love the stripes!

Amy Malick’s yo-yo necklace is adorable. I had so many dreams of yo-yo ornaments this year, but it’s looking like those will have to wait another year….

This lacy cuff by Rachel Haab uses crazy-quilting to mix a variety of fabrics. Those three buttons really make the look, I think.

This patchwork pillow by Dan Pasky looks complicated, but Dan’s construction method is super-smart, so the whole thing goes together very quickly.

Incidentally, there are also simple garment projects in this issue (both making and embellishing), some cute scarves, napkins and table runners, doggy leashes, and lots more.

I’ve got a project in here, too – an ironing board cover with an attached caddy for your scissors, pins, and other tools. (But I’ll totally understand if you save this one for after the holidays!)
